Confidentiality
As a spiritual director and Life Coach I am ethically bound to confidentiality. This allows clients to feel safe and able to share freely. However, there are some important exceptions to keep in mind.
I am required to report to my supervisor any child abuse that has happened within the seven year statutory time. If seen fit we may have to file a report with your consent.
If a client has a plan for committing suicide (this is different from talking about suicide), I will make every effort to help this client preserve his/her life.
At Biola University I meet with a supervisor and group of spiritual directors who will help me with the concerns I encounter from my sessions in spiritual direction and Life Coaching. In supervision no names are shared. Some general content from a session may be shared so that I may grow to better help you.
